The event will start promptly at 6:00 P.M. (CT) and will begin with a presentation by Dr. Rishe, followed by a Q&A session. It is part of the H.F. Langenberg Memorial Speaker Series, which is proud to be partnering with several organizations and universities around the country.

Audience members will be able to submit questions prior to the event.​ Open discussion and audience participation are hallmarks of the Langenberg Speaker Series, so the Q&A session will make up a significant part of the program, which will end at 7:00 P.M. (CT).​

Dr. Patrick Rishe
Dr. Patrick Rishe is the Executive Director of the Sports Business Program within the Olin Business School at Washington University in St. Louis.
Additionally, he is the Founder of sports consulting firm Sportsimpacts, a Sports Business contributor with CNBC, and the author of “They Shoot…They Score”…a book on Sports Business leadership and strategy featuring 50 interviews with sports industry owners, executives, and dealmakers.
Now in his 10th year as the Director of the Washington University Sports Business program, Dr. Rishe oversees program operations…from classroom instruction to student job placements to creating experiential learning opportunities like the many “immersion trips” the program undertakes…to New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, and more.
Founded in 2000, his Sportsimpacts consulting practice has executed over 100 client projects, including 3 Super Bowls, 3 Final Fours, the 2024 NFL Draft in Detroit, a Ryder Cup and a Presidents’ Cup, and a Major League Baseball All-Star game.
Academically, Dr. Rishe has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed academic journals, including Sport Marketing Quarterly and the International Journal of Sport Finance.
Lastly, as a frequently quoted Sports Business expert, Dr. Rishe regularly appears on CNBC’s Squawk Box to opine on topical Sports Business issues, and has also offered his sports business insights for outlets such as NBC Nightly News, CBS News, CNN, Fox Business, and ESPN.
